According the World Factbook, there were approximately $463.1 billion (US Dollars) worth of exports from Canada in 2011 ($393.0 billion in 2010, $323.1 billion in 2009), the majority of which consisted of motor vehicles and parts, industrial machinery, aircraft, telecommunications equipment; chemicals, plastics, fertilizers; wood pulp, timber, crude petroleum, natural gas, electricity, and aluminium.

Imports to the country were valued at approximately $460.7 billion in 2011 ($401.7 billion in 2010; $327.3 billion in 2009); mainly machinery and equipment, motor vehicles and parts, crude oil, chemicals, electricity, and durable consumer goods.
